AIR CRE hosted its Port of Los Angeles Boat Tour aboard La Espada on Thursday, July 17, bringing together members and commercial real estate professionals for an afternoon of networking, education, and unbeatable waterfront views.

Set against the backdrop of America’s busiest port, the event featured light hors d’oeuvres, refreshments, and a guided cruise through the heart of port operations. Guests gained exclusive industry insights from featured speaker Eric Caris, Director of Cargo Marketing for the Port of Los Angeles. Caris provided a timely overview of the port’s current priorities and long-term vision, touching on global trade trends, upcoming infrastructure projects, emerging technologies shaping port operations, and the port’s environmental initiatives.

As the boat cruised past massive cargo terminals and bustling operations, attendees enjoyed the opportunity to connect with industry peers and gain a firsthand look at the scope and scale of one of the world’s most critical gateways to commerce.

The Port of Los Angeles, often referred to as America’s Port®, spans 7,500 acres and 43 miles of waterfront. It remains a vital economic engine for the region and a global leader in container volume. Since 2000, it has consistently ranked as the top container port in the United States.
