Tim Hayes
Executive Director
Tim Hayes is the Executive Director of AIR CRE, having served the organization since 1998. Tim has worked in the commercial real estate industry since 1984 gaining valuable experience for this post by serving both as a broker and as a corporate real estate director.
While Tim has overall responsibility for the operations of AIR CRE and its staff, he has particular expertise and oversight of the Association’s business development, AIR CRE Contracts strategy, member growth and retention, technology strategy, and information services.
Under his leadership, AIR CRE has drastically increased its products and services offering in several key areas including data gathering and dissemination, AIR CRE Contracts outreach, member-to-member communication, and member training programs. This resulted in membership growth from 850 to over 1,700 since 1999.
Tim also leads AIR CRE’s Contracts national expansion efforts via a partnership with SIOR. This includes customizing the AIR CRE Contracts to make them “state-specific” and then engaging in a joint-marketing effort with SIOR to make the Contracts available to all SIOR members across the country.
Additionally, Tim guided the Association’s geographic expansion from Los Angeles County to Orange County and the Inland Empire.
Equally important, under Tim’s leadership AIR CRE has substantially expanded its outreach to individual members and affiliates by staging some of the best events in the industry; this includes the annual Market Trends and Forecast, the innovative Regional Broker Networking Events, AIR CRE’s annual golf tournament, and the very popular AIR CRE Contract Strategy Seminars.
Tim and his wife, Consuelo, are both graduates of Loyola Marymount University. They have 11 children and reside in Whittier. When Tim is not working or running around with his kids, he enjoys exercising, golf, reading, and going on Thursday night dates with Consuelo.
